Does anyone wanna slap people at Xmas time??? Or is it just me? I'm currently in a cafe in Sheffield and the music playing is the one that says "the little lord Jesus lays down his sweet head" and its so annoying. I'm putting my headphones in damn it

I enjoy Christmas because I like the music and the memories from my childhood.
It is a fairy tale, no more, no less. The mass insanity of others who believe this is the end all, be all, I leave them to their "sickness."

What bothers me the most is when Christians say " femember what the season is truly about" while shopping till they drop for 2 morhs. The 25th of December is a steal from a pagan holiday. The winter solstice. This shit all makes me sick.

Everyday, all day.

Sister, there are people I want to slap people all year long.

I hate having Christmas shoved down my throat. And forbid we say anything about it and "attack" the precious Christian institution :/

The bad news is, as one gets older years go by faster, and the interval between "holiday seasons" shrinks a little every year. Plus it now starts 3 weeks before Halloween.

If it's just for fun and they are not hurting anyone, I'm okay with it. If however, they use this holiday to shame people and tell us that we are going to hell, slap away.

I really REALLY hate the holidays. Too much fake smiles and platitudes along with the Christmas music makes me really nauseous. I try to stay home as much as possible.

That sounds treacherous! I more so want to slap people for putting Christmas stuff out before Halloween

I’m with you, sister.

Agreed. I own John Denver's christmas album - one side is all the jebus stuff, the other side is all the traditional secular ones. Guess which side gets played - like - never!

I miss John Denver, his material is hardly ever on the radio in the UK. Who needs gospel when you can listen to Annies song.

You're definitely not the only one.
I actually walk out of an establishment if I hear Christmas music.

I could not agree more, I can highly recommend listening to the twisted sister xmas album "a twisted Christmas" thats what I do to feel festive, without feeling like a theist.
