Cataracts
No, not a geographical feature of the Nile, but an encrustation of gunk on the human eye. I had one removed last week and cannot believe the difference it has made to me (with more improvement to come, so they tell me). If you are hesitating about whether to have this procedure or not contact me and let me try to persuade you that it's a damn good idea.
My artist ex-husband Terry, 74, cried with joy after cataract surgery. I drove him to and from his eye surgery.
"For the first time, I can see individual trees on the mountains from the valley floor!" Terry enthused. "It's like taking acid in my 20s. The colors are incredible!"
That comparison occurred to me, too!
Congratulations!!!
You won't have to persuade me. I had mine done a few years ago. Because I was legally blind without glasses, I opted for the cataract surgery with corrective lens implants. He gave me 20/20 vision in my right eye and 20/40 in my left so that I have near perfect distance vision and I can also read fine print. I rarely need to reach for a pair of glasses these days, and after 65 years of wearing glasses or contacts, it's a miracle.
Fantastic!
Not only did my vision become sharper and clearer, my colour perception, especially in the violet range, became excellent.
When the bandages came off I thought the walls had been freshly painted.
Same here!
I had mine done a few years back, and yes! It's a simple procedure, with monumental gains.
