Introspection is really needed to improve the self, that is to questions ourself. We can not just asked a few or one question then think we done with the introspection. To achieve higher self that means we must ask all the questions there is to ask. But since the fact that we do not know everything, we would not able to ask all the questions there is to ask. So we ask all the questions that we know how to ask as the same questions we ask others, and then we can find more questions that we haven't know yet from others who asking ourself. Every time someone asked a question, ask ourself have I asked such question yet? So do not get offended when people ask you questions, use it to ask ourself, so that we can improve ourself, improve our intelligence/intellectual, and to improve our intellectual it improve our work and life much easier, not just for ourself only, it also improves mankind too. Those intellectual just to improve ourself only is still a very low level of intellect.
Then there are the answers to our questions, we have to keep in mind not all answers are the correct one, there are a lot of false in a lot of answers, we can try to find a more accurate answer to our questions instead of just come up with one without the care of how correct it is or not and say we are done with the question. That is a very low level of intelligence thinking.

The less questions we asked ourself the more half-baked our thoughts would be, same as to the amount of inaccurate answers that we have for our questions.
Being afraid or blocking other from questions is the evidence of lack in trying to improve introspection it effect would reduce the chance to gain better intellect and intelligence.
