Tina Turner was such a strong influence in my childhood. I'd rush home from school every day to watch 𝘝π˜ͺπ˜₯𝘦𝘰 𝘚𝘰𝘢𝘭 hosted by Donnie Simpson on BET. That was how I learned about her, Sheila E, Vanity, ALL the Jacksons, Madonna, Ready for the World, and Sheena Easton. (MTV predominantly played videos by white men from the US, UK and Austraila at the time.) Here are a few of my favorite Tina Turner tunes from the past few decades. She will truly be missed!

Opening scene at the New York City harbor. What a Queen she was!

Tina Turner was the ultimate performer, much like James Brown, she gave it 100% every time she performed. This is one of my favorites.

@CharityHope Tina had a very awesome demeanor about her and her smile lit up a room. I've been sharing the following with people who admired her like you did.
