Here we go again.
Support informed, freely given consent for all medical treatment.
Covid is less than 5 years old so the vaccines are also less than 5 years old. These medicines are still in trials.
Weigh individual risk Vs benefit before you decide, especially when deciding for children. Remember, these medicines do not stop transmission and are very short lived, needing boosters after months.
It is ultimately your choice and your choice alone. Resist peer group pressure because it is your decision.
Consent consent consent

If you're afraid to take take a vaccine that was developed two years ago, You're REALLY going to hate modern cancer treatments that are tailored just for your DNA.

Fear has nothing to do with it. Let me tell you, it took courage to stand firm on the side of consent and stand against the mob rule. The peer group pressure was quite overwhelming. Coming from government, the media and a bunch of Karens.
If a vaccine for death is developed, I still wish to retain the right to refuse it. Why? None of your business, my body. Choice and consent. I bet you are all for choice and consent for other medical treatments like abortion. So what's different about a mass produced medical product? I suspect a major reason is because it is called a "vaccine", that it will stop transmission which was always a load of bollocks, they never even tested for it..
There is no vaccine for covid. The WHO, CDC et al use a definition of "boost immunity" for vaccine now; nothing scientific like % efficiency it has to be, or last xx number of years. No definitions, what science is all about eg measurement. Just "boost immunity", it really is a joke.
"Hey guys, discovered a new vaccine. It's called an apple"

@puff you are seriously mentally ill

@BitFlipper And some may say you are incredibly naive if you think long term trials in humans as an extra safety measure can be "warp speeded" for medicines, trusting the manufacturer's word it's good to go.
If you wish to consume newly developed medicines whilst trials are ongoing, go for it. Informed consent. I prefer to wait until all the data is in thanks, which is 5 years..
And if I had terminal cancer, well shit yeah I'll give that trial drug a go, who wouldn't? Same same, Informed consent.

That's odd. The FDA/CDC approvals only come after testings, trials and studies.

Unless emergency approved 😉
Even done scientific biological trials? You set them up with 50% control group (nothing happens), 25% placebo group and 25% participant group. Then you monitor the test subjects long term. 5 years of trials have been standard in the medical industry for a long long time. And in the past, adverse effects meant the medicine was pulled from circulation quickly in the name of public safety.
Does not the fact the CDC/ FDA never requested data regarding transmission before approving these drugs concern? Yet, happy to allow it to be marketed as a "vaccine". Good luck attaining a herd immunity with that one!

ummmm he's a ''doctor'' of Philosphy, actually a Nurse by medical training and IMO now a shameless panderer to the Ivermectin & hydrochloroquinine crowd ....shame on him!!!!!!!

Nurse John Campbell was very fact based at the beginning of the pandemic. Once he released findings supporting hydroxychloroquine as Covid treatment. The next day he had 50K new followers. Since then he took a serious right wing antivax stance. He now has over 3 million followers and had become a multimillionaire. It's not surprising that you follow him.

I don't follow him and my stance has been very clear and consistent ie the need for informed consent before all medical treatment because the alternative is forced medical treatment. This stance has not changed nor will it.
This post is about being informed, what individuals choose to do, up to them. That is consent.

@puff So I don't know about your country, but in the United States we have compulsory education up to year 9 and guaranteed free education through high school. In order to enroll your children, K-12, they are required to have necessary vaccinations. If their parents refuse, they will have to be home schooled. Their choice. If an employer requires shots, an employee can choose not to get them. They don't have to work there if they don't want to. The employer has rights to run their business as they see fit as does the federal government.

@barjoe Regarding children it is a hard question regarding consent. I do think parents are somewhat mad for not inoculating their children against something like polio. However, I still defend their right to choose. Choice. Fortunately, this is a very small minority. Life is diverse and we must learn to live with and tolerate those we class as dickheads.
If you talk employment, you are talking safety of yourself, equipment and others. A way to minimise risk for covid is the "vaccine", but this is by no means the only method in use; distancing, masks and other PPE, enforce good hygiene, daily testing, working from home etc etc. Considering the failure of the covid medicines in 1) stopping you getting infected and 2) stopping you transmitting to others, then it still needs to be complimented with other measures mentioned above. To force workers to take it, it must be fully approved as opposed to emergency approved, must be fully effective in protecting not only you but others from you and the employer has to be liable for any adverse reactions if it is a job requirement. Forcing medicine on people is an absolute last resort with no alternatives left (not the case with covid). But even then I still support consent eg no coercion so I would say this practice is illegal. Needs to be challenged in court, in fact courts have already deemed Biden/ Federal covid vax mandates as unconstitutional..
"The employer has rights to run their business as they see fit as does the federal government." No they don't, there are laws they have to abide by. No government has the right to force medicines on the people they represent, especially ones still in trials (see Nuremburg Trials re medical consent)

Ed The real con here is classing covid medicines as vaccines because by any measure they do not cut it as a vaccine because 1) not stop infection 2) not stop transmission and 3) no meaningful immunity in efficiency and length of time effective before "boosters" needed.
Vaccines are the Rolls Royce's of medicines, so if you are able to market your product as a vaccine, you have guaranteed consumers. Instead of a Rolls Royce, we ended up with a VW sold as a rolls.

@puff Of children born in 2015, 1.3 percent had not received any of the recommended vaccinations, according to CDC [cdc.gov] It means millions of school age children in USA don't have childhood immunizations. It may be their right but it endangers the herd. Diseases that were thought to be eradicated are making a comeback. Small Pox, Measles, Diphtheria even Polio are making a comeback. Because of people making bad choices for their children and subsequently their grandchildren. Not a good thing.

@barjoe Agree, but I still think the principal of seeking informed consent is more important. It is up to society to convince this 1.3% through education and accept there will always be some that do not comply for whatever reasons. Choice.
I recall from economics that full employment is considered achieved when less than 4% is unemployed as there will always be disabled, mental illness and those who choose to live without what society considers employment etc. Something we must just accept. I view mungbean parents who don't protect their kids as the same eg something you just have to accept. May not like it or approve, just accept the world, especially humans, will never be perfect. We can only try but I still defend 100% that all medical treatment must have freely given, informed consent with no coercion. This, because I don't trust humans if they start forcing medicines on people.
If a vaccine is 100% effective you only need 50% of a population inoculated with a vaccine to achieve a herd immunity, effective as in stopping both infection and thus transmission. Boffins usually aim for 60% to be sure, increasing that figure the less efficient the "vaccine" is. It is purely a maths equation with other factors being the R factor ie how many others an infected will pass it on to and the time people are infectious once they contract.
Polio and Rubella have very good vaccines so you will at least know your children will be protected if a breakout does occur. I think the problem with the Rubella one is there is a window where children can't get inoculated (too young) plus it takes time to kick in. Not ideal but such is life. I think all our age got measles during childhood so civilization survived without a measles vax so we will survive if a very small section of society freely chooses not to take it.
Even though it would be nice at times, I just can't support attempting to force your will on all, especially when it comes to medical treatment.
