The Deadliest Animal in the World

"What would you say is the most dangerous animal on Earth? Sharks? Snakes? Humans?
Of course the answer depends on how you define dangerous. Personally I’ve had a thing about sharks since the first time I saw Jaws. But if you’re judging by how many people are killed by an animal every year, then the answer isn’t any of the above. It’s mosquitoes.
When it comes to killing humans, no other animal even comes close."
Well in terms of actual kills so far, I have to accept that its mosquitos. I'd be interested in the actual numbers. Man's impact on the global ecosystem has caused many many species to become extinct. Also, how many people have died in combat in all the major wars? And how many civilians have been killed or have died as a result of a war? How many have died as a result of radiation poisoning following the 2 atomic bombs at Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Also from depleted uranium shells in Iraq? If mosquitos are still the top killers, when you add up all the numbers of deaths attributable to man then so be it. But man's inventions particularly atomic weapons have the potential of killing millions of humans and other animals.
I'd rather take my chances with a couple of mosquitoes and my bottle of aeroguard than face a man in a mask with gun
obviously mosquitoes , they have killed more people than any war, one of gods creations, he did a good job there , NOT
You can't have it both ways, can you? if you blame God for mosquitoes, you must believe in God. "If it turns out that there is a God, I don't think that he's evil. But the worst that you can say about him is that basically he's an underachiever." Woody Allen.
Conversely, you may argue that the existence of mosquitos is proof that God does not exist
@doug6352 ever heard of sarcasm
I believe the deadliest creature is the Misquito
Humans - without a doubt. The only species in existence able to wipe out ALL life as we know it.
I think you may be over-estimating the destructive potential of humans. Mass extinction?... sure. All life? I doubt it. The climate under which life originally arose on earth was pretty inhospitable... there aren't many life forms around today that would have been able to survive those conditions. Maybe there is some kind of virus that could be engineered to specifically do that, but I think it would take a concerted and specific effort... I don't think negligence alone is enough to do it. If we could make a gamma ray gun big enough to sterilize a planet... that would do it.. but, as far as I know... we are nowhere close that level, tech wise. Eventually... yes. With Present ability? I'm skeptical.
