Owen Jones was invited by the IDF to see a screening of Hamas atrocities which occurred on Oct 7th.
We should all be human and I think this guy, who comes under a lot of criticism, is largely spot on and has his head screwed on right.

However, I do take a harder view in a certain area when talking about "innocent Israeli's". If you have chosen to reside in a settlement on land that is within an occupied territory of others, you are not "innocent". They should not be there in the first place and it is they who knowingly put their children at risk by residing there. Of course the first reaction is to be horrified at the brutality of the day and wish all perpetrators dead, but once you assess things a bit more, as I have, the anger turns towards the state of Israel for allowing these "settlements" (sounds so nice doesn't it?) to exist in the first place. But get even more angry because these people in settlements are also used by Israel as human shields to maintain their land grab. That is the harsh reality as I see it. The concert goers slaughtered is all together different, no justification at all for that as far as I can tell.
Why us humans are so cruel to each other, I wish I knew.
