Bacteria Eating Plastic
Morgan Vague isolated three bacteria-eating plastics when she was a senior in biology at Reed College in Oregon. Specifically, they ate a plastic called polyethylene terephthalates, or PET for short. The bacteria broke PET down into by-products that are harmless. PET is one of the most commonly used plastics for consumer goods. It is manufactured into plastic bottles and clothing. plastic bags and food packaging, etc
While Vague did indeed discover such a strain of bacteria, the claim made in the meme about her losing the Times Person Of The Year award to Thunberg (the meme couldn't even spell her name right) is false, and frankly impossible given the circumstances regarding Vague's discovery that took place in 2018 and not 2019.-

Misinformation from Fakebook there I'm afraid, which is why I don't trust sources on that platform. In fact, a good number of those "alternative" media sources should be treated with skepticism just like mainstream media sources do. I find nyself questioning everything these days.
That all aside, I am quite interested in Vague's discovery, and we should be talking about that part more.
yes i find interesting that the same day i find this they are telling us we nano plastic's in bottled drinking water.
