This is merely a misunderstanding. The Camels referred to in Genesis were the kind one smokes, not the animals. It is widely known that Abraham was a chain smoker so he needed to own many camels to satisfy his addiction.

Level 9

Camels actually evolved in Northern part of North America, were domesticated, and then taken over the Alaskan "land bridge" to Asia, and eventually to the Middle East by humans.
