Let's hope so. Many are leaving right now and slowly the republicans are losing their majority. Maybe they should be renamed the Do nothing party.

Oh, look common sense!

This would be good news, it would give her four years in the seat until hopefully some sanity returns by 2028.

On the bright side, if she leaves the GOP, she may caucus with the Democrats, which will shift the balance of power.

Why do these people leave? Sadly because they are either really ignorant of how authoritarians work, don't know history or simply can not read - might be all of the above.
Had they read something like Heather Cox Richardson's History of the Republican party they might had a better chance of avoiding candidates like Bush ll and trump. But noooooooooooooooo, they went down that road Newt Gingerich started with his Contract with America. That was in 1994, they could not see that Reagan wasn't bad enough? Bustin' unions and deregulating things like banking?
Anywhoo, enough ranting about the GOP.
