Not surprised. Very disturbing.

I do not believe there are dangerous particles...I do know that many people reuse them by refilling them and as they deteriorate they outgas, which would be far more deadly....particles would pass through.

Particles? Or Dangerous particles? Huge difference!
I have no problem believing the manufacturing facility air is chock-full of particles that end up in the bottles, I have worked in manufacturing environments my whole life.....but dangerous how?
Are the workers in the facilities showing any effects, as they would be the most exposed...?

@annewimsey500 The article asks the question: "Are they dangerous?" Now that they have found these results they need to determine whether or not it is detrimental to human health. I think it would be a good idea to know. Time will tell.
