Does this really work? I'll get one if it does. I can never get through a loaf of bread by myself until it turns stale.

Keep your bread in the freezer and remove slices as needed...not the fridge, the fridge hastens staleness.

@annewimsey500 I've done this. Yes, it works with sliced bread. I sometimes buy it by the loaf, or make my own. Maybe I should pre-slice it before I use, and freeze half.

@Organist1 Can you not buy it already sliced?

@Jolanta Not when I make it. Also, the bakery where I get my sourdough bread just sells it by the whole loaf.

@Organist1 I love home made bread. Can easily eat tons of it, or half a loaf in one sitting.
