In my opinion, cops are mostly worthless. They tend to take a bad situation and make it worse. They rarely investigate and almost always assume. But what if someone has a gun and you need the police to protect you? Ask the dead children in that New Mexico school shooting how the cops saved them. Cops tend to create crime rather than prevent or deal with it. Cops are mostly useless to society.
