In spite of having asked to be removed from the mailing list, I still receive the alumni magazine from my Catholic high school. And there's always a prepaid envelope for monetary gifts. Anybody else find things like this annoying?
Yone, you ain't ever getting off that list! Now, turn over your palm so Sister Mary Helen can spank your palm. And your blouse is showing too much.
And my skirt is too short.
Stuff that prepaid envelope with as much of the shredded pages of their magazine that you can fit. Add something with weight to it if you can. They will have to pay the postage. Make sure your mailing label is in there (add "remove me" to it) so they know who to remove from their list.
it doesn't happen to me but its fucking stupid.
I get alumni solicitations from my collegiate alma mater, even though the college is closed (but the archabbey and school of theology are still in operation). I don't contribute. For starters, I don't care about the seminary and the training of priests. And I'm no longer Catholic. And the program I would feel some affection for no longer exists. And they closed the college at the end of my junior year, making my life more difficult. But I don't really mind the solicitations. I figure they're just wasting a bit of their money in the process, and I toss it into the trash straight away.
