if you follow a follower arent you going in circles?

I am under no obligation or social convention to follow somebody just because they follow me.

I used to take improv classes, and "follow the follower" was one of the guidelines -- but it meant being aware of what your fellow improv players were doing in a skit, and this WAS truly an open-minded activity, as it forced you to be present and get out of your head... But I know it's not the same thing, because it also required being a mutual thing so that you could work together, and it had nothing to do with being like-minded, just aware.

I follow people who follow me, I do not join groups and I dislike groups that post and at the same time ban comments from non-group members.
