If the head of the Secret Service had to resign for failure to adequately protect the former president, then the CEO of Boeing as well as the CEOs of the airlines involved in crashes should also resign for failure to provide safe transportation.

Oh, are they female too? I agree with you, but making a point, that the previous heads of the Secret Service who were in charge during the previous assassination attempts (failed and successful) were never asked to resign.
