When you buy new clothes, do you put them on over your old ones? Of course not, that would be ridiculous. So, when you receive new information, why would you layer it over the old? That doesn’t work. You have to shed the old information in order to make room for the new.

Can also add new adornments to make the old more up to date fashion wise. An adjustment rather than discard completely. So your clothes remain in vogue.
