Yeah this seems to be the "norm" here in Oklahoma. Sad, but true.

How has it affected your adult life, especially in regards to your relationships with your family members? I was estranged from much of my family for a lot of years but I have come to see how very alone we are without family.

Good for you, if you "came out" as anything else it could have been a lot worse. Now you are an independent free thinker, it all worked out fine and dandy in the end. Welcome to your new life, worth waiting for wasn't it? Leave those hypocrites to rot in their own misery. Well done.
