Doesn't it feel unbelievable? Doesn't it look like magic?
Our earth is on a plane in an elliptical orbit around the sun. Then the sun is on a galactic plane in our Milky way galaxy, 25,000 light year away from the galactic center. But as you can see in the second picture, all the stars in our galaxy are on a spiral, that we call spiral arm. Our sun is on the Orion arm sometimes or on Orion spur sometimes. It looks like a dream, but it's real. So friggin.. awesome. Now, my current earth science research is related with past earth climate and finding out different driving factors and forces. The periodic motion of the galaxy and the cosmic rays influence the earth's global cloud coverage, that in turn affect the earth's temperature and then the sea level and then it causes greenhouse period and ice age on earth. Hooooppsss... a lot of science. Haha. But see.. how it's all connected. THE UNIVERSE>><<<<

I believe in the wonder of the universe and the miracle of evolution.
Definitely. I always think it's amazing how we can see the Milky Way in the night sky (if there's no light pollution).
What's even more incredible is that our Milky Way spiral galaxy is one of perhaps 200 billion galaxies.
Not unimaginable. Not magic. Physics, baby.
Physics baby..Yeah. But it "feels" like.. British science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke's 3 laws:
LoL.
