Has anyone here been a victim to any pyramid scheme or MLM? I watched Betting on zero on Netflix and it shows how Herbalife exploited the immigrant Latino community with their pyramid scheme. The company is still going strong btw, FTC thinks it's a not a pyramid scheme.

One of Herbalife's representatives invited me about 26 years ago. While I waited for him, I studied a book about nutrition. He arrived and told me that there is no need to study and showed me his comics socks and took me to a function. It was explained that MLM is legal but pyramid schemes are illegal. He was so funny at the function that I decided to check Herbalife at the library and at the health-food store. Info at the library about Herbalife was clear and so the emotion of the sales person at the store.
For sure, any Job that one can get easy must be checked thoroughly.

It's sad that people lost their life savings trying to better themselves!

Not me. But my wife has. We didn't come out too bad though. Luckily we didnt have any money to invest in it at the time.
Year's later someone else tried to get her to do it again, by this point though I knew what a pyramid scheme was. We opted out.

Years ago my next door neighbor ended up with a garage full of liquid cleanser. He couldn't sell it...couldn't give enough away...and probably still has a few cases in his garage.
