I believe they are about control. This is why they can support Trump and still be so uptight about sex and "morality." It's all about control. Their control over you, me and everyone else. I think it's massive insecurity, paranoia, really. Sad and hopeless, I hate to say.

They rail against the parts of them selves that they hate. If you think about it, the level of hostility they express could only be a produced through extreme familiarity with that which they despise. When you add a unhealthy dose of self loathing to the mix the result is predictable.
If an obvious and provable misinterpretation of Holy Scripture didn't exist institutionally, people would have to write their own holy scripture and then incorrectly interpret it to fit their own bias.
(Yes the second paragraph is sarcasm, it's subtle).

I find it ironic they embody the very things they rail so hard against. Isnt it our job to be the immoral, child rapist, pussy grabbing, addicts?
