LEGUS Galaxies
The 6 images consist of two dwarf galaxies (top right and left) and four large spiral galaxies. All of the galaxies are undergoing vigorous star and star-cluster formation. The red circle indicates a pocket of rapid star birth. The relatively young stars are responsible for the galaxy's blue-white color. The stars that can be detected in the images range from the size of our Sun to more than 100 times our Sun's mass. The six galaxies are between 19 and 42 million light-years from Earth.

When I see pics like this I feel as if I am in my own private star ship, just cruising from one wondrous site to another in an endless journey of fascination.

Never cared much for microscopes, telescopes only pointing to the right window.
