I am a Facebook user, I have close to 800 people. Out of all of them there's only around ten that believe the way I do. ?

I have a bunch of friends. Mostly I don't know what they believe. I guess thats why we stay friends

When I first joined fb years ago I was excited to get in touch with old friends and family. Not long after I was disheartened to find that most were Christian AND Conservative. It was kind of sad for a little while. Eventually I learned to accept that I was the odd one out, and began to think of myself as a Maverick of Enlightened thought! Bringing different thoughts and opinions of reason and logic to the masses! Not that they appreciate it the way I do. Anyway, I have since gained new friends that are a little more like me, so the feeling of being the only one has declined a little.

I reconnected with someone on FB after gasp 50 years. I was shocked at how racist they were. Very disappointing

Join the club! That's why I'm looking for new ideas. This one seems more interesting but very difficult to find what or whom you are looking for. I never was accepted in Facebook, except for people who are already my friends. It seems like that old cartoon in Mad Magazine (or maybe Playboy) of a room crammed full of people at what appears to be a party or some other social gathering and they are all talking on the telephone. That was done probably 40 years ago and was very prophetic!

I am not sure what you are asking, but there are Atheist/Agnostic FB pages you can join if you'd like to expand your circle of skeptic friends.

One of the biggest reasons I deleted my Facebook was realizing all my friends were delusional, or idiots, or both. I needed new friends, so I came here. So far, so good. The conversations alone have made it worth it.

@Sheannutt in the days of yore, we had a list of numbers that we could use to send smoke signals to others... I like that better than Facebook, lol

Post an intelligent comment with some significant insight and you receive no response. The next time you check in there are 400 responses to the lady who decided on mauve dresses for her daughters wedding attendants, or her grandsons first independent potty experience.

@fishline79 that is the best summation of Facebook I've seen in a long while!

@Kafir Unfortunately, Facebook aside, most people in this country haven't the education, life experience, or simply, the intelligence to discuss anything other than last night's episode of "The Voice" or 'Survivor"!

@fishline79 again, all too true.

I'm pretty selective on FB.
I don't accept requests unless I see other mutual names, or get a message.
No randoms.
The first religious post I see gets that person booted regardless who they are.
I also do very little posting or commenting outside the closed groups I'm involved with.
It's for my use, not others.

I have 91 "friends" on my Facebook account. They are people I know from various points in my life. I have zero people who think like me, but I also have zero people I don't know well so they know how I feel and I know how they feel and we just stay out of each other's "religious" business.

It's easy to believe and accept something that you've been force fed since early childhood
