It's nice not to feel alone.

I miss the Hitchslap! I have had a long journey from a strict religious upbringing to hating religious organizations to realizing that people were the real problem with religion. The fact is that Neil Degrasse Tyson is an Agnostic, and Newton was a straight up member of the church. I believe that there is something more than our understanding, but people always take it to far. Call it social consciousness, fate, or even something that our brains cannot even comprehend. As long as we keep an open mind and listen to the real hard science we will be ok. There iis also the Golden Rule of "Don't be a Dick" which is why I am so attracted to Deism.

I associated with deism for awhile. Just couldnt find a likeminded community to share questions and thoughts. This site is more my tribe than any other.

I'm not a deist, but I've read Thomas Paine's Age of Reason several times. Great book.
