Well, the Universe has apparently decided that l don't need to date! Not on POF anyway. My account was hacked for the 3rd time in a month (even with new usernames/stronger passwords) and l just can't keep rebuilding it. The site has zero security measures in place and it's become overrun with fake profiles and scammers. (Same thing happened on Match, but l never even tried to start over there after the first time.) I rarely meet new people in real life (because l've worked at the same place for over 23 years) and now it's become virtually impossible online as well. So, not fair!! Somebody/somewhere is missing out on being with this totally amazing woman!

This whole on line dating thing seems kind of goofy to me. It is so inorganic.

The ONLY good thing about online dating is the ability to vett someone before wasting time meeting them. I have flushed out more closet alcoholics than l can count! And yes, it helps to have a filter to sort out the religious from the get-go as well. It doesn't do any good to meet a guy out somewhere...you laugh...connect...and find out he's a deacon in his church! YIKES!!

You are so far away from the single men on this side of the pond that You are already unobtainable and therefore even more exotic and mysterious.. If I wasn't married, and for all intent and purposes living on the moon..I would be banging your door down to meet you.
I feel sure you will meet someone worthy of you soon...always happens when you are not looking apparently. You'll be fine..just keep being yourself. ☺

Thanks!? It's funny, but when l'm dating a guy, he'll say l'm the most amazing woman in the world...until l start pushing him to give as much as l do! Then suddenly everything's 'too hard'! Lazy Losers....(sigh)
I would like you to get off those dating sites. Look up seminars for growing and bird watching. Look in other places to advance your knowledge... its amazing the people you meet. How about river rafting? Ballroom dancing. Check out the arts in your town and become a member of a play... find someone of culture that will appreciate you. I hated looking on those websites when i was single. Not being bossy...just knowing a better way.

I appreciate the thought, but you can't tell by looking at someone or even having a shared activity interest whether or not they are a non-believer OR whether they have any hidden addictions, etc. At least online you can vett someone a bit before wasting time meeting them...just to find out they're 'religious'...or worse (though there isn't much worse in my opinion!)

I concur that most dating sites are filled with scammers (especially "women seeking men" ). Hopefully, you'll have more success here... especially with such a well thought-out profile as yours!

Thank you! Typically l get the 'you're too picky' line (or some other such nonsense) just because l won't settle for some broke (financially, mentally, and physically) guy! ?
