My experience is you can be pretty profane. As long as you're not directing it at an individual user.

I'm an older coot, but I find Twitter fairly enjoyable. Some days, it seems like a lot of people giving each other the business, but it's also sort of cool being able to hear directly from favorite politicians, comedians, scientists, academics, etc.

I have never seen any ban or whatnot from swearing, unless it was directed at a person or race in a hateful manner.

Sure, just don't be an a$$ about how you do it. If you fuccer it up you look like a dik so use caution, be creative and nobody gets pi$$ed off and calls you Arsehole.

I haven't been on Twitter much lately, but I've had plenty of tweets with assorted cuss words. To my knowledge, I've never been censored or put in Twitter jail.
