Do you think that preventing players from kneeling during NFL games is a fair and equitable decision?

Well, being a VN Vet., I have no problem with what the athletics are doing...odd, to me, that people bow their heads, kneel, bow their bodies, all to that Deity they believe in, but let a group of athletes kneel for a reason that is justified...ohhh, wow, we have non-Patroit. Politically driven, for a select minority, evangelical Christians, who want to control every aspect of every persons life...by their dogmas!

No but it appeals to Trumps base which like to think of themselves as patriots.

WTF does the US national anthem have to do with the stupidity of spartz?

I don't like that Mr Trump encouraged the rabble to rant and scream. And it definitely violates a Supreme Court case: [constitutioncenter.org]
However since the ticket sales did drop over the next few months the actual decision came from the owners of the teams. The corporation has the right to fire them, once a policy has been set down. Any player who wants to commit career suicide is free to, but I bet they don't.
It is not fair, but try to get the pledge our of public schools.

I think it's a prohibition of free speech, which ought to be unconstitutional, is unconstitutional. Can you get ought from is?

2

No and the whole thing is blown out of proportion.

Not until they are held to account for criminal misconduct, wife beating etc.

No.

Making a point about perceived inequality is not unpatriotic.

Ignoring it and allowing it to go unchallenged is unpatriotic. (Inequality that is)

I think the players should stay in the locker room while the national anthem is being played. Prior to the 2009 NFL season, this is exactly how it was.

...players weren’t on the field for the national anthem and instead generally remained in the locker room. The switch happened “because it was seen as a marketing strategy to make the athletes look more patriotic.”

I think we need to stop playing the damn song. Problem solved.

6

No. All players should stay inside or not play the anthem.

Just quit playing the anthem at games! Problem solved. It is a terrible song anyway.

No it is not. Every American has the right to kneel, or not, to any graven image... JWs specifically believe that is idol worship. Our country was founded in freedoms such as these and taking them away is only bringing us closer to the dictatorship that Drumpf wants.
