I enjoyed it there was enough plot to forget the special effects for a while. Some cute new characters. Spoiler An anti-hero which was a pleasant surprise like Han but turned out not to be. I enjoyed the ending that was refreshing to have a little twist.

I'm not a hardcore fan of the franchise but I was very hyped for the movie. This trilogy explore very distinctive topics compared to the others. I guess that's why some people didn't like the movie that much. They were expecting to find a new Luke in Rey, but I enjoy her new path to the Jedi.

Not a hard core star wars fan, but I loved it. I can see why bigger fans may hate it though.
