The trip to Portland to see Michael Pollan was fantastic. One of my daughters went with me and we had a very nice meal after walking around downtown a little and then the talk. Pollan is an excellent speaker and was very informative as well as entertaining. As part of the deal, put on by Powell's Books, we got an autographed copy of his new book, "How to Change Your Mind." The talk was about this book and the psychedelic experience. The place was packed!

I started his new book and it looks like a very good read. I read two of his other books and enjoyed them. He really has a different way of looking at things and is quite good at expressing his findings.
