Trump signs Right to Try Bill
I think this will destroy the process of clinical trials on drugs. How are they going to keep track of side effects and efficacy? [thehill.com]
I think the bill does not go far enough. The FDA should have its police powers totally removed, and should serve only an advisory role.
@CrazyQuilter I trust the law courts to hit Big Pharma with telephone number judgments, and our junkyard-dog lawyers to launch those lawsuits. The FDA protects Big Pharma from accountability with their government stamp of approval.
In my opinion the FDA was a grievous error of the Progressive era. We don't have a Federal toaster administration, we have Underwriters Laboratory, and some similar private organization would work just fine for the pharmaceutical industry.
