The problem arises when people think god is a better physician than their own GP or those at the hospital.
I just wish that the ones who think God's there would not be so insistent that he is and let us others to get on with what we believe.
The Christian insistence that theirs is the only true faith (thou shalt have no other gods but me) went a long way to antagonising many Romans in the century or so after Christ. As far as the empire was concerned, any and all gods were acceptable, with the caveat that they were given Roman names.
