My baby girl is going away with school on Monday for a whole week. She's excited, I'm nervous. Last week she was crying in my bed because she didn't want to go in case she didn't like it and got home sick! Now she's so excited she can't sleep! Is it too late to make her stay!

I would never let my children go out with the school for that long! NO WAY. There is too many crazy people in the world and not enough people with guns to protect them.

@Josephine So are you calling the school teachers crazy people? Then would you send your kids to a bunch of CRAZY PEOPLE!

@Josephine I support giving and training teachers with firearms. Then schools will be safe again.

@Josephine practice your English a little more I can't understand what you are trying to say! What's wrong with arming teachers if they are trained? Give me one good reason if you can!

@Josephine I knew you couldn't give me one reason. proves my point.

@Josephine I can see why no one likes you

You need to let her go. This is your next hurdle in parenting -- allowing her to explore the world (in a safe manner) outside the home and family. You don't want to be doing her laundry when she's 40, do you? (cribbed that from a commercial)

@Josephine If you mean reading your post, yes, we did. We responded to what you had written. If everyone responds in ways you didn't anticipate, perhaps the problem is with your post.

Do not let her stay, she needs to be able to navigate the world, you will not be there forever to rescue her. Let her learn to be independent.

@Josephine Oh, I am a busy body am I. If you did not want anybody to comment, why did you post it in the first place? And for your information yes my statement was well intended. So do you think that your child doesn't need to become independent. And no we are not friends, never have been. Tell me something if one of your friends told you what I told you, would you just stop having anything to do with them? And yes I do understand that it is hard to let go, I have children.

@Jolanta WOW, you handled that very well, very professional.
