The Irish Were Possessed By Demons When Voting.

OK, so after the vote to repeal the 8th amendment in Ireland allowing access to abortion, the No side were understandably miffed. But this makes me so insanely angry and amused at the same time, and the sad fact is that there are people who really think like this. This is the real damage that religious thinking does.
And this is an unchallenged opinion, with no evidence other than its what she has seen.

The Irish vote is a reminder that some changes cannot be anything but generational, the old guard is far to set in their ways and usually believes themselves to be right and all others wrong, especially when religion is involved. Here in America the holy rollers have lost on gay marriage but continue to try and turn back the clock, that it will not happen bothers them not in the least. After all, their right and they "know" it . Ireland remains in the grip of the Catholic church, this vote is a reminder that it will not be that way for all that much longer.
