Anyone else ever notice how churchers are in the worst mood right after church?
Aye, and it's when they're at their rudest to service personnel.
Well, they've just wasted half their Sunday, so they're bound to be in a bad mood. Whenever I was dragged along to church as a child, I noticed that all the more interesting people were straight out the door and away as soon as the service ended, not hanging around to be part of any imagined community. Those who stayed on for cheap coffee and stale biscuits didn't seem to get much out of that either, but I suppose they had nothing better to do. Maybe things would be better if they got rid of the silly service and just spent that hour talking to each other, arranging things they could go and do out in the real world so that the lonely ones were brought into something that might enhance their lives properly.
