I am going through tough times now. I am 17 and have about 9 months to become 18 i.e major. Well, it's India and I don't have supportive parents. Unlike many others my story is really different and after long fights I atleast managed to live in the home and get food. I used serious psychological and physical means (yeah, fighting them) get it till here. Now I need work my ass off these 9 months before getting out of the house. There's no doubt in my development. Unfortunately I am only equipped with high school education. Though I have plans, the thought of shelter makes me afraid. It's a 50-50 chance that I could find a safe place and I can't afford to lose anything. Nothing ever came without a creepy risk to me.

Shelter, shelter, shelter... The only thing that'd make me happy is if I could get rid of my worry for a safe shelter.

start looking around now and get an idea of what things cost, if you could live with room mates etc. I moved out when I was 16. Granted different countries, different times but I started saving money when I was about 10 to be able to get safe shelter. good luck
