FUN FACT: That movie is based in the city I was born in and I grew up near.
In the movie, they call it Hohman Indiana, actually, it's Hammond Indiana. One of the main streets in Hammond is Hohman Ave.
The writer and narrator was Jean Shepherd who lived there as a child among other places in the region.
