Babysitting, emotional support, food. I'm basically everyone's mother/big sister.

I am an empath, so people usually ask me for help with emotional issues. Also since I am a mother and grandmother they ask me practical things about when to take a kid to the doc or not. The other most asked is gardening. I love to grow vegies and flowers.

I am also an emotional support animal. People also seem to think I'm good for a laugh too.

But on a less serious note. Anything creative. I am a professional Artist. Also, landscape or any design advice. I design landscapes as a hobby.

Just as it was when i was in professional practice (fee-paid) the people who search me out in person or on the net usually feel overwhelmed by whatever is going on their life, or about a challenge they're experiencing at that particular stage of life.

They often articulate their need for workable solutions, or alternatively, to recreate/reestablish balance, peace, or even just a break in which to regroup, or all of the above.

Mostly computer and tech advice. It's not my profession, just something that I am good at.

To vent or help them move something with my pickup. I'm good with either one.

That would be advice on small day to day health issues that can be perhaps addressed by supplements, homoeopathy and healthy foods. I love my job.

Usually, people want to be heard. If you listen to them, they are able to hear themselves talking and and clarify their own thinking. You may even ask open ended, not leading questions... and listen again. If they want my opinion, I'll give it to them. If you give them advice, and it doesn't work, they may corner you some time later and say " You told me to do that"

People usually come to me with comic book and or super hero questions, move information, pretty much anything nerdy.

Automotive advice.

I used to have a t shirt that said “no I will not fix your computer.” I need a new one.

Money... nobody gives a damn about my advice. In most cases their jealous of me and wonder how i got here. I don't live in an environment where friends ask me if im doing ok and i don't ask them that screwed up question. My greeting is hey there. Great to see you. Doesnt trump suck?...lol. theres no poor me crap in my friends. We all work on our situations.

usually to borrow money... but those same people will help me when i ask...so i don't mind.

By far the most requests are to talk with their children, from teens to 30s. 3 yesterday. I am a problem solver, it is usually work related.
After that is seems to be just general problems of their own, years past it was more computer and internet issues than anything, now it seems to be arguments with utility companies.
At least noone asks me to fix their cars, they know better. Also a lot of people ask me to accompany them to medical specialists, I act as a translator.

All sorts of things.

Sometimes they want advice, sometimes they want moral support, but mostly they want me to do some kind of art work... for free.
