Interesting article
I find the fact, as best we know it, that energy can't be created or destroyed interesting in terms of when people think about the universe being "created". The Big Bang only just changed the form of the energy already in the container of the universe which is.....the universe. So how could the Big Bang be the beginning of the universe?

The universe itself is a closed system, so the total amount of energy in existence has always been the same. The forms that energy takes, however, are constantly changing."
There really shouldn't be any shame in saying you just don't know.
