With so many choices these days sometimes I don't know what to watch but I don't even know all the possibilities I have Roku and sling. If my TV was really smart it would tell me what to watch! I watched all I could of Westworld , humans and Shameless what are some of y'alls favorite show?

Oh and the Amazon firestick is amazing if you have subscriptions to Hulu, Netflix and Prime. All you gotta do is say, "Find me scary movies?" and viola....It's way cool.

Ok...gotta be Game of Thrones, Walking Dead (Don't knock it till you've seen it) and tons of scary movies. I watched Westworld it was ok but could not get into it. I'm a bit odd as I tend to like the originals of things the best.

I've closed my Netflix account and no longer have a Roku, Chromecast or even cable - there was just so much choice I could never find anything among it I wanted to watch. I actually miss the days when there were only three channels.

I had more years of the major networks that's what they call them ABC NBC CBS and PBS. I did like things about weekly viewing although now I do like being able to stream a whole season. Now requires more self-monitoring I've never been good at that!

If I were you I'd try to avoid my tv telling me anything. If it does start talking to you I suggest you quickly remove it from your house. If your talking to your tv then that's another story. BTW: In that case I'd avoid sharing it.

hehe

Mindhunter! I watched the first season and it was great because it was 70s and it showed the beginning of psychological profiles. Also the first season of Ozark about a money laundering accountant and he has to deal with the cartel.

I saw Mindhunter as well. I'm trying to decide if its a good idea to watch the Ripper series or not. Did you view it?

My favorite shows recently have all been cartoons. Ten-year-old me would be rather proud:

  • BoJack Horseman
  • Rick and Morty
  • Archer

I've also been watching some live-action shows:

  • The Blacklist
  • Black Mirror
  • The Orville

And, of course, there are always the trusty standbys:

  • Star Trek: The Next Generation
  • Star Trek (the original series)
  • Babylon 5
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer

If all else fails, there's always porn.

I think I'm in love with your watch list @resserts

I cut the cable in 2008. Between YouTube, Netflix and Prime I have way more content options than I need. That being said, I adore the show This is Us. The characters situations hit very close to home. Well written with a phenomenal cast.

I'm sure that the corporate media would like to tell you what to watch. In effect, they're doing that already. Beware: it will be marketed as a "convenience". Look for a lot of things to be marketed as "convenience", which is just another way to eliminate your choices.

I recently cut the cable and, like you, am floored by the options. There's nothing I want to watch that I can't watch. There seems to always be a way to find anything. And cheaper than cable!

It takes the time we could be watching a movie to go through all the on-demands and streaming services. And that's with using bookmarks and wach lists!

I also watch Big Bang Theory ,Mom, YouTube and of course stranger things I'm actually in Tucker Georgia where they film some of stranger things.
