What does it mean when I see "hovered" next to a visitor's name in my alerts?

It's a quick way of peeking at someone's profile and checking thing out on them. It doesn't open up their page.

When I hover my mouse over your name, I get the first 4 lines of your profile, also age and location.

Answer 4

It means they put the mouse pointer over your picture but did not click.
