QUESTION Houston Oasis, Secular Community

This looks interesting.

It doesn't matter if you're Agnostic, Atheist, Humanist, Questioning, or "none" of the above. At Oasis, you're free to make friends, volunteer, learn, and have fun without religion or labels getting in the way.

Core Values

People are more important than beliefs

Reality is known through reason

Meaning comes from making a difference

Human hands solve human problems

Be accepting and be accepted

Dang it! That is waaaayyyy far for me. I’m North of Tomball. 😟 Y’all enjoy!

I still haven't made it yet. I know about the distance. I live in Northeast Harris county. Maybe one day I'll get there.

Similar to Sunday Assembly?

The web site has a very religious feel to it, like it's a church. They have weekly meetings on Sunday morning, and that doesn't help. lol

I love those core values. If I lived there, I would be interested in being a member of that group.

Looks like that have several Oasis Centers across the states..
