Is it just me or

Is it just me or does it seem like abuse and STDs are running rampid in the world today? The point where I have to know somebody for like a year and I'm going to go to the doctor with them first before I think about starting a relationship.

That's why it's wise to NOT have sex with someone until you're exclusive, and then only when using a condom. If STDs are present in the partner they will eventually surface, and better to be safe than sorry.

Guys who want "hook ups" mostly don't care about the women anyway..just want a quick lust fix, while women are mostly looking for a kind, permanent partner who will have their backs and be there for them in the long haul.

It sucks because guys have been breeding the Hook-Up scene for so long that it seems like there's way too many girls are like that too

@BkCAT Men have always been that way..what changed is that after the big 1960s free love era, women began accepting casual sex as the norm and playing along. They began thinking that women having equal pay was the same as men and women being the same, and began participating in casual sex to prove their "freedom."

But men and women are NOT alike, and when men don't have to work for something they typically take it for granted, and women become just sex objects to them instead of people to be courted.

The women, despite their mistaken ideas, are usually still devastated when men ghost them after casual sex, since they thought that giving in to sex would keep men interested.

@birdingnut well said...so guess that leaves us guys who want trust b4 lust, left it the dust. Lol

@BkCAT I'd say the majority of women on this website are serious about finding a compatible lifetime partner, and only a few have high enough male hormones levels to only want hook ups.

I don't think that abuse or STDs are getting out of control. I think it's just being brought out into the limelight more because of the #MeToo movement and others like it.

Actually, " rampid" could be useful. A cross between rampant, and rabid !

As far as entering a relationship goes, common sense, and a bit of caution has always been a wise thing.

I don't think anything, anywhere is running rampid.

Sexually transmitted diseases are running rampant in Indiana, since Mike Pence, as governor there, defunded Planned Parenthood.
