Why are the Holy Books ( Koran, Bible, etc) so long? I mean in the Bible, once you get past the 10 commandments, it gets pretty contradictory for hundreds of pages.....

I've read the entire Old and New Testaments (66 books) plus the Apocrypha and yes you're right , after the 10 (9) commandments it gets very repetitive till you get to Isaiah ect (Major and minor prophets) The 4 Gospels read like religious fantasy and most likely are. The Letters are interesting in their own way and the Book of Revelation is the work of a schizophrenic. As for the Koran, it is mind numbing in sheer 'boringness' and is the work of a another schizophrenic.

Skyfacer, Are the 4 gospels the Jesus part?

Hi Twil. Yes. And the letters (Epistles) are also about Jesus (Joshua) but in a different style entirely. The letters come after the 4 Gospels in the New Testament but are the oldest writings in that section of the Bible.
