You know what i always get as a response when i point out republican voter suppression? "both parties do it." that's a lie. both parties do not do it. democrats pass laws to register citizens automatically, sometimes at the dmv. republicans pass laws to close dmvs in poor neighborhoods, restrict who can register, restrict who can vote, restrict whose vote counts. it's not a universal thing. it's a republican thing. democrats want everyone to vote. high voter turnout always favors democrats. that's because more people are democratic than republican. republicans benefit from low voter turnout. you know who keeps filling your heads with "both parties do it"? republicans. fox news. sinclair-owned stations. in other words, republicans.
