I don't care about points. I've been here longer than anyone I know of but I don't try to get points I contribute when I feel like contributing. Some people punch like just to collect the points. I click like when I like.

Once you are on a little higher level you can post without delay and message more people. I think it is to cut down on trolls. It's annoying but it's nice to have a place for intelligent discussion without being drowned out by people who only want to disrupt the discourse.

There are lots of ways for you to earn points so your level will increase. Take a look at the "Levels" page at [agnostic.com] for more details. The points/level system is just a way to help us reward active members by giving more access and perks to members as they increase their level.
