PROSTITUTES and PORNSTARS
So, I've had this conversation with several people, and I have yet to find a convincing argument that functionally differentiates between being a prostitute and being a porn star, (I.e. Why is it legal to be a porn star and not a prostitute?) It seems as though for every "difference" someone points out, there is a scenario that shows it's not a fundamental difference. Can someone please help me out?
The government gets their cut from the legal porn industry. They should legalize prostitution and set guide lines and have health check ups. O ya then the government can get their cut. The religious will fight this one, but I wonder how the porn industry through. O ya people only watch
I agree that it should be legalised and regulated. Not only would that make it safer for sex workers, but it makes absolutely no sense that it's illegal to sell something that you can give away for free.
Getting taxes doesn't show a fundamental difference. If they taxed prostitution or didn't tax porn the argument would be invalidated. I need a fundamental difference.
@Dakoda2017 It's illegal to sell organs that you can give away for free. Do you think people should be allowed to sell their organs?
@JeffMurray You well have to find from some else. I gave you my best answer.
@Leutrelle Fair enough. Like I said, I've argued this a lot. I was hoping a group of next level thinkers would have a better chance of making heads or tails of this sitch.
@admin My post will not allow me to write i.e. in lowercase no matter what I do...
