But really, it shouldn’t be happening. They should be demanding safety and fighting for their rights in their home countries, just as citizens of the US have been doing since our inception. Not fleeing to another.. Ending foreign rule, slavery, robber barons, creating unions, women’s rights, voting rights … taking their nations back - not ours.
