Even in my atheist group there are men that totally and inappropriately dominate group discussions. The females are clueless and don’t notice. It irritates a lot of the men.

Be yourself. If you have something you want to contribute, by all means do. If someone takes offense, you have several options: 1. Defend your point of view, 2. Apologize, 3. If other person is abusive, either block, or report to Administration.
