Up the road to the northern end of the Victorian Grampians is Mt Zero. The native name for the Grampians is Geriwerd. In the following link photos 1 - 16 are of flora and fauna, 17-21 scenic.

My avatar is the river at the bottom of the street and on my page there are a few more photos of the vicinity.

Blue Ridge Parkway in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina.

I live in Hawaii, so that's not a fair or an answerable question. Don't hate on me. Lol

I live in great part of a great city. Although but 2 1/2 m from the city center I have two lovely Parks (one of which I used to live in). I am surrounded by wonderful old victorian brown stone houses One of which I live in now. I cannot imagine living anywhere else.

Pacific Ocean, a place called San Simeon. I live in an area with a beautiful coastal range of mountains, as well. I feel very fortunate. I would almost say "blessed", lol.

Ledges State Park is near me. It is a little valley with a small stream meandering through that is shallow enough to wade in (rarely past an adults calves) if you want to cool off and trails to hike with several beautiful over looks toward a larger river nearby if you want something more active.

Right outside my door. 🙂

Rainbow springs near Gainesville down here in Florida. Well worth the visit. Siesta key beach in Sarasota is pretty too.

There are a lot of natural areas that are stunningly beautiful here in central Pennsylvania. One of my favorites is a fairly large creek that's completely hidden by trees. There's no place along the course of this creek where you're more than 400 yards from developed properties, but the steep banks and dense woods conceal every hint of civilization and give this the illusion of some primal forest. In the summer it's so green it's feels tropical.
I try to get there by kayak often.

Seriously, my backyard.... couldn't get the picture add feature to work right.... darn, it's a nice photo

I had to try to upload my picture 4 times before it worked. There are so many things that do not work correctly anymore on Windows computers, I don't know what's going on

Right up on the Shield. Conifer forests growing defiantly from otherwise bald marble. Lakes cold and deep. Vistas of red maple and silver birch.

I'm quite enamored with the diverse beauty of Southern California in general, but having moved to the high desert, I find that having starry skies again is a little bit of heaven. We have light pollution ordinances which makes an incredible difference.

Hm we have a drainage ditch in the neighborhood where you can see egrets and blue herons.

I don't know, I haven't found it yet. Georgia doesn't have so much of that.

Gert Level 7 Feb 10, 2018

@witchymom I'm willing to believe you, but I'm from abroad and having a hard time to find beauty in Georgia. The beauty that I saw is not in Georgia, but I'm open for information. Just fill me in, you can message me. I would appreciate it a lot.
