Previously, US presidents were constrained by a sense of societal norms and accountability to the media and other oversight institutions.

@jerry99 George iii had his power taken away, though and his son ruled as regent for the last nine years of his father's life, thankfully.
"2019 will be the worst year of Trump's life," according to Los Angeles Times and New York Times.
